My name is Jillian Dempsey, I am currently in my third year of the Arts Education program with a concentration in Visual Arts at the University of Regina. I am thrilled to be here to pursue a career in teaching, then eventually continue schooling to become an Art Therapist.
I’m a Saskatchewan native, but was raised in the wonderful and beautiful province beside it, Alberta. Though Alberta is not the province of the “Land of the Living Skies”, it still is beautiful in it’s own way. I grew up in a the southern part of the province in a small city called, Lethbridge. This city is in the perfect location because it’s 2 hours from the mountains, 2 hours from a beautiful national park called Waterton, 2 hours from Calgary and close to the boarder if you want to go to Montana (roughly 2 hours).
Before coming to Regina for school, I lived in Lethbridge. I completed a, Psychology and Sociology diploma through Lethbridge College. I love learning, coaching, staying active, creating and teaching. My family is vastly important to me, along with being a person of integrity and compassion – which I hope is evident through the way I teach.
